Trufforum Vic 2026

The World Capital of the Black Truffle

Osona Gathers the World’s Finest International Chefs

Trufforum-Vic-2026

Two Days of Congress, Market, and Truffle-Infused Gastronomy

On February 7th and 8th, the El Sucre Fairground in Vic will host the most anticipated biennial edition of Trufforum, the great international summit dedicated to the black truffle. Producers, elite chefs, and gourmands will gather in the capital of Osona to celebrate the “black diamond” of Catalan cuisine.

A Professional Epicenter to Strengthen the Value Chain

28/01/26

Trufforum Vic 2026 once again transforms the city into a gastronomic, cultural, and professional epicenter dedicated to the black truffle (Tuber melanosporum). Organized by the European Mycological Institute (EMI), this biennial event consolidates Osona as one of the world’s leading regions for the production and appreciation of this haute-cuisine ingredient.

The 2026 edition has clear objectives: to strengthen the truffle value chain from field to table, highlight local Catalan producers and artisans, foster culinary innovation with fresh truffles as the protagonist, and promote mycological tourism in inland Catalonia. All this is framed within a focus on sustainability, certified quality, and the internationalization of the product.

The program combines exclusive activities for HoReCa professionals and truffle growers with proposals open to the general public. The professional offer includes the Truffle Academy, a training day for Hospitality and Tourism students with lectures such as “Introduction to the World of the Truffle” by Pere Muxí (SoTaTerra), “The Truffle in Catalan Cuisine” featuring a collaborative session with Quico Arumí (Can Jubany) and Carles Gaig, and “The Truffle in the World of Sweets” by Jordi Farrés (CIB).

The TrufforumLab will feature a session on creativity and innovation with Oriol Castro (Disfrutar), followed by his appointment as the 2026 Truffle Honorary Ambassador and an inaugural aperitif with Nandu Jubany. On Saturday the 7th, the International Black Truffle Congress will take place, featuring technical presentations, professional tastings, and a B2B networking space.

Market, Science, and Tastings for All Audiences

Access to the main venue will be mostly free on Saturday the 7th and Sunday the 8th (from 10:00 AM to 8:00/9:00 PM). The Truffle Market will offer a unique space to buy classified and guaranteed fresh truffles, as well as artisanal truffle products—oils, cheeses, charcuterie, and preserves—from renowned houses such as Casa Sendra, Tuber Gourmet, Formatges Montbrú, Casa Riera Ordeix, and Inotruf.

The Truffle and Science space by the CTFC will showcase truffle species, maps of production areas, and mycorrhizae. “The Truffle on the Plate” area will bring together sweet and savory truffle-infused tapas from restaurants like Can Jubany, Casamar, Mas Monells, and Eukarya, paired with wines and cavas from Raventós Codorniu and Panadès Alemany.

“Truffle Cooking” will offer live sessions with tastings (early bird tickets at €6 at trufforum.com/vic). The lineup includes a collaboration between Nandu Jubany and Oriol Castro; “Game and Truffle” with Rafel Muria; iconic dishes from the Roca brothers presented by Raúl Sillero; and “Truffles and Bubbles” with Ignasi Camps, Jordi Vila, and Empar Moliner. The event will conclude with the “Best Restaurateur and Educator” Award presented to Toni Sala (La Fonda Sala).

The Truffle Classroom will host themed tastings (advance booking required): rice dishes with Quim Casellas; oysters and truffles with Marc Castells and Àlex Andrés; Osona Cuina with Nico Roger; and “Gastrosabias” (Gastro-wisdom) with Elvira Serra and Núria May (Fundació Alícia). The Xics & Trufa zone will allow the youngest visitors to discover this unique product in an educational way.

Awards, Competitions, and a Truffle-Filled Sunday Closing

Trufforum 2026 will present the fifth edition of the Golden Truffle, featuring a posthumous recognition for Carles Vilarrubí i Carrió (Catalan Academy of Gastronomy and Nutrition). The second edition of the “Best Truffled Product of Catalonia 2026” contest will also hold its blind tasting and awards ceremony.

Sunday the 8th will kick off with the Osona Cuina Truffle Breakfast (€10), followed by the 7th edition of the Catalan Truffle Dog Championship. The day will culminate with the final of the 4th “Laumont Prize for the Best Black Truffle Recipe,” featuring an elite jury including Francesc Arumí, Ada Parellada, and David Seijas.

With a program richer and more international than ever, Trufforum Vic 2026 invites professionals and food lovers to experience an intense weekend of aromas, flavors, knowledge, and celebration.

Buen provecho ☺️ !
